With the release of v1.04 of the Meridia Verify methodology, we bring more precise tools to help you ensure field data verification and EUDR compliance validation. This update introduces new tests, improvements to existing ones, and expanded global coverage for critical risk assessments.
Broader country coverage
We’re broadening the geographical applicability of several key tests, empowering clients to assess risks in more regions.
Indicating farm plot overlaps with an Indigenous people or local community territory
We’ve added Ecuador, Mexico, and Paraguay to the supported countries for this test. Additional insights are now provided to help clients address risks effectively.
Farm plot overlaps with deforestation area (public map)
We've updated Verify to utilise the most recently published maps, also covering deforestation from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, global and regional datasets are now employed to better tailor forest and deforestation characteristics for each specific country. Our reference data is being updated country by country. The first to benefit from the new datasets are Uganda, Paraguay, and Peru, with more countries to follow soon.
Farm plot overlaps with deforestation area (commercial map)
New Space Intelligence layers are now available for Uganda, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea, offering deeper insights into deforestation risks in these regions.
Streamlining polygon corrections for external systems
Invalid polygons are a major concern, as systems like EUDR IS (part of TRACES) or ICE CoT do not accept them. With our updated methodology, you’ll know precisely which farm plots need correcting before uploading them to these platforms, saving time and avoiding complications.
