We are excited to launch our latest report, "Cooperatives and the state of field data quality for EUDR compliance," which presents key findings from the Cavally Cocoa Farm Data Study. Conducted between September 2022 and November 2023, the study aimed to assess the data management practices of farmer cooperatives in the Cavally region of Côte d'Ivoire and identify areas for improvement to ensure compliance with the EU Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products (EUDR).
This report, powered by Meridia and Rabo Foundation, provides valuable insights into the challenges smallholder cocoa farmers face in meeting EUDR compliance requirements. It also outlines the steps needed to enable their inclusion in global cocoa supply chains. The report highlights the importance of accurate and reliable data collection and management for EUDR compliance. It also identifies the need for increased support for smallholder cocoa farmers, including access to training and resources to help improve their data management practices.
