With a strong commitment to sustainability and quality, A&D connects cocoa farmers and the chocolate manufacturing industry, fostering long-term relationships built on trust and integrity. Operating with a lean team of 17 employees, A&D navigates a complex regulatory landscape while ensuring its cocoa supply chain is efficient and compliant.
With a small-scale sustainability team, the company faced the challenging task of verifying farm-level data across multiple countries, including Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Ecuador.
Navigating the evolving compliance requirements under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) presented a significant challenge for A&D. Inconsistent data quality and a lack of clarity in regulatory guidelines compounded the complexity.
